CHALLENGE
PUBLIC WORK is an award-winning urban design and landscape studio based in downtown Toronto. They are focused on one of the foremost public topics today—the intelligent evolution of the contemporary city.
INSIGHT
At the core of their practice is one question: How can every urban project—public or private—contribute to the quality of life and urban experience in the city?
IDEA
Since eight years had passed following the studio’s 2012 launch, its website, brand identity and collateral needed an upgrade. Inspired by the partners’ desire for a minimal approach to their branding, we intentionally created an online company profile that would allow the project work to speak for itself. We adopted a monochrome palette, a single typeface, intuitive navigation and subtle rollover animations - all features that would not distract from the work itself. The website will also include a blog (coming soon) for the partners to reflect on their insights about the urban experience and learnings from previous projects.
The site’s content management system allows for easy updating of all photography, renderings and copy across the site, without impacting the overall look and feel of the pages.
