COUNCIL OF CANADIANS
Modernizing the Canadian Perspective
The Council of Canadians brings people together through collective action and grassroots organizing to challenge corporate power and advocate for people, the planet and our democracy. They advocate for a society built on democracy, justice, and care for each other. We believe we can learn from the perspectives and struggles of others as we work together for a more just world.
In 2021 we redesigned their impact report Canadian Perspectives to appeal to a younger audience, but at the same time, not alienate their aging members. They had recently undertaken a corporate rebrand and asked us to adapt the current brand guidelines and evolve them to be more flexible and practical. By introducing a softer palette, we were able to hit multiple notes with the design. In addition, we were able to breathe new life into Canadian Perspectives showing the depth and breadth of the organization, improving readability (less wordy and text heavy) and using a grassroots style collage to draw attention to the impact stories.
